Description of Business
|
|
We are a U.S.-based company that sources and distributes industrial products in
China, and the Americas. We also provide business and management consulting
services to public and private American and Chinese businesses. We used to
operate in three identifiable business segments, as defined by the Financial
Accounting Standards Board ("FASB") Accounting Standards Codification ("ASC")
280, "Segment Reporting:" Magnesium, Basic Materials/Mineral Trading and
Consulting. Beginning in 2006, we established our Magnesium and Basic
Materials/Mineral Trading segments which have grown through acquisitions of
controlling interests of Chinese private companies. We consolidated these
acquisitions as either our wholly or majority owned subsidiaries. Through our
U.S. based industrial commodities business, we source industrial commodities
from South America for ultimate distribution in China.
