October 24, 1927 as a successor to a business founded in 1894 by Milton S.

We are the largest producer of quality chocolate in North America and a global
leader in chocolate and sugar confectionery. Our principal product groups
include chocolate and sugar confectionery products; pantry items, such as baking
ingredients, toppings and beverages; and gum and mint refreshment products.
We operate as a single reportable segment in manufacturing, marketing, selling
and distributing our products under more than 80 brand names. Our two operating
segments comprise geographic regions including North America and International.
